Treatment and Risks

One of our doctors or nurse practitioners will go over the answers to your health questions before your video appointment starts. They’ll review your medical history as well as any treatment for asthma you’ve tried in the past. If you know your peak flow rate, let us know. During your online visit, a member of our medical team will help you understand available treatment options, as well as their associated risks.

Please answer all questions as truthfully as possible, especially if you’re taking other medications. It’s critical to your health and safety that the GoMDUSA medical team knows your entire medical history.

As with any medical examination, there’s a small risk we’ll get the diagnosis wrong. Because we can’t meet and examine you in person, there’s the additional possibility that we may miss something medically relevant or give you the wrong advice.

If we’re in any doubt, we’ll ask you to see a doctor or nurse practitioner in person for a follow-up consultation. We know it’s frustrating, but it’s just not safe to treat certain medical conditions online. GoMDUSA follows evidence-based guidelines and industry standards when diagnosing, prescribing for, and advising our patients online.
